dccdcc A Perfect Union - This is the cover quilt to my book by the same name, published by C&T Publishing, Inc. in 2001. I hand pieced the patchwork and hand appliuqed the applique blocks, then hand quilted it using Hobbs 100% washable wool batting. I selected four colors and tried to remain close to the original choices thoughout and used a mellow background fabric to add an aged appearance. I was teaching groups of students an 8 class series while making my own quilt and writing the book. It took over two years to complete. I enjoyed the process.
