blk94vette Shining Stars - Quilt is made of 100 small 5" stars and over two hunderd small strips in the inner border. The bright colors on the black background have a strong visual impact but the flow of the colors across the stars draws your eye across the entire quilt. This was my first attempt at making such small blocks where every point and intersection would be so visible. It took a lot of time and patience but the end results were worth it. It was made as a gift to a woman who coached my daughter for years, as our way of saying Thank You for all the time and effort she put in for the girls.
