blk94vette Sunset At The Lake - This quilt was designed for the 2005 Hoffman challange but the hand quilting took too long for me to complete so it never got a chance to be entered. Now it hangs on my wall where I love to look at it. I spent my evenings sitting on the deck overlooking the lake we live next to as I hand quilted this. The colors are bright and bold just the way I like them. I used templates from Just Curves for getting the nice smooth curves and the curvemaster foot helped with the piecing. I changed the original pattern to move the quilt center on point, then I changed the colorization to enhance the flow of color through the center, and changed the borders to make better use of the challange fabric. A 2" sleeve on the back is used for hanging. It has been hung in one exhibition only.
