Our latest show doesn't just have the Exaggerated Pointillism stylings of Carol Morrissey, it also has a fabulous visit to the A Better World Exhibition featured at Houston in 2019. Co-curated by The Quilt Show mainstays Lyric Kinard (Show 2013) and Susan Brubaker Knapp (Show 901), The exhibit focused on inspiration and what people have done with their actions to make the world a better place. The exhibit featured a quilt by Alex titled Anchors Aweigh, made in tribute to her father Joe Sladky. Below is what Alex has to say about the quilt and the exhibit:
"I'm beyond thrilled that my art work has been accepted into "A Better World", an art quilt exhibit highlighting heroes in our world who have worked for the greater good. I chose my Dad, Joe Sladky.
