You aren't going to believe this, but Jamie's quilt, Blue Heron, is actually a shower curtain that a friend sent to him to have quilted. Yes, a shower curtain...

Letha Thanks for the tips.Because I enjoy the challenge, I prefer to do the puzzles without the background. Before my arthritis, repetitive motion injury, and carpal tunnel got so bad, I loved putting together Spring Bok puzzles. The Quilt Show puzzles are a real treat for me to complete. When (not if, according to my doctors) my hands get worse, I'll use your method so I can still enjoy putting jigsaw puzzles together. Thank you, Quilt Show, for making the puzzles available to us.

If you use the button to show the puzzle as a background on the computer screen, then you can place the pieces on top of the background by matching the design pieces and as you find more pieces then they join together. There's also an option to show the design in stronger colors which sits on top and you can also move pieces into the design using this option. I start putting pieces on top of the background design to match up with the design as I discover them and then they connect with other pieces as I place them into the puzzle. You don't have to wait to find a matching piece that will connect. Just put the pieces where the match the colors and then join them as other pieces are located.

Patsy, Thanks for the heads up that the puzzle is a bird. We feed birds, and so I am familiar with feather patterns. Thus, the puzzle was easier for me to solve. Thank you!

FUN, the background was easy, the bird was not! Thanks.
