Joen writes about her quilt,

"Memories of Monet combines two traditional blocks that I could use to create four-pointed stars, diagonal lattices, and illusionary circles. The fabric combination was inspired by a Monet garden fabric that was featured in each star block; hence the name."

2008  70″ x 70″

I agree this is beautiful. I was in Paris several years ago and saw Monet's painting. My favorite, too

This has got to be my favorite, so beautiful and it took me 35 mins because I refused to look at the quilt first. Plus it just so happens that one of Daughters is in France going to Monet's garden as I worked on this?!
