Ann writes of her quilt, "I love tackling different subjects in my pictorial quilts. I’m particularly fond of the shapes of boats — the sleek, curved hulls designed to cut effortlessly through water. Rowboats are simple, elegant crafts. Powered by hand using oars, they seem to beckon to a slower, simpler time. This boat was partly swamped, having aged and fallen into disuse. But it was also filled with memories of times past…"
