Ann describes her quilt as, "Capturing the essence of a courtship song and stroll through the evening plaza, this romantic quilt sings with color and stitches. Hand look digitized embroidery with cotton threads surrounds the center motif with swags of flowers. Guatemalan textiles add richness of texture to the quilt. Hand “big stitch” outer border with thick cotton threads further enhances the rustic, ethnic theme." This was the cover quilt for Quilters’ Newsletter Magazine Feb 2014.

Star Members can watch Ann in Show 2005: Free-Form Collage and Embroidery also featuring Laura Fogg.

This is so not my idea of a fun quilt to sew -- too many patterns, too busy -- but.......This was the most satisfying puzzle to put together -----------ever !!!!!!! Seriously, Ms. Horton should submit this quilt design to Springbok for making a jigsaw puzzle. When I was able to do Springbok puzzles, I usually put one together each week! I am pleased that you put your quilt designs on the internet for us to solve. It gives me the satisfaction of solving jigsaw puzzles electronically now that my arthritis prevents me from picking up pieces of puzzles to put together. Thank you, Ms. Horton, for your design, and thank you, The Quilt Show, for making them available to us to solve.
