Nancy Arseneault created a spectacular quilt all because her husband wanted a tattoo. The Quilt With The Dragon Tattoo (74" x 55") received a first place ribbon at Road to California as well as an Honorable Mention in the Art-Whimsical category at Houston.
Artist Statement: “A collaboration with tattoo artist Stephanie Noell Davis yielded a wonderful image of a Chinese dragon containing my favorite quilt motifs: feathers, spirals, and dots. I adapted her line drawing, adding lots of color. The interior border, sashiko stitching, and quilting designs are all from traditional Japanese stitchery.” (Design inspired by a drawing by Davis)
