Everyone fell in love with this quilt at the International Quilt Festival in Houston.  Virginia had been working on the quilt on and off for over 10 years!  It is created from recycled ties and silk tie remnants from the Robert Talbott tie company.  She even used Hobbs silk batting.  Her design source is Karen Stone's pattern, "Untitled."

These two are the first puzzles I have tried. Loved doing each one but don't know how long the second took as I stopped for lunch. My FIL had the most wonderful tie collection when he died but my ex only took a few as we were moving to Australia and he didn't think he would have much use for them here (true). If I had only known I would become fascinated with quilting. Absolutely magnificent quilt.

Fabulous and fun. Probably one of the more challenging however I felt I did pretty well as far as time on this one.
