Here are photos of my folding design wall which can be stashed in a closet. I unfold it flat and lean it against a wall to use.
It's very lightweight and easy to stick pins into if needed. Usable surface: 48" x 72". Folded size: 24" x 72".
Supplies:
-- Two cardboard presentation boards from office supply store
-- Three stiff metal strips from hardware store
-- Heavy duty tape
-- Flannel or batting, 3 pieces (or cover the whole thing & then slit for folding)
-- Spray adhesive
In case you're wondering why there's tape across the top (see photo), I discovered it was leaving black marks on my woodwork. I suggest all-white boards.
Happy piecing!
(PS. A 90-year-old lifelong quilter told me how much she'd learned from TQS. For a beginner like me, you are the most incredible and fun resource. Many thanks!)
