Proportion and value make all the difference !!

Once, I needed to paint a large room in the basement. I had heard that it's good to take ideas from nature. I wanted a touch of red, but not sure what else to put with it. Then I took an apple. It had the red I likes, and also a variety of greens and yellows. So, I took the apple to the paint store, and chose from there. I received many compliments on that play room. You'd think it would be wild with red, green and yellow, but it was actually very soft and warm.

how to choose the right combination of color for a quilt

That was a question of some of my quilts' friends.

I go to google search, looking for birds or fishes or butterflies photos - the combination of colors on those creatures are astonishing beautiful - I choose those color combination of one creature for a quilt, most of the time the name of the quilt is the name of the creature as well.
