Hi Leafy,
I am checking with the webmaster about the process. As admins, Barbara and I don't go through the same gymnastics. I will tell you that there are computer farms all over the world with "bots" that try to break into website forums and post advertisements. We had a Russian farm break-in and sign up 1000 new accounts in one hour and start posting ads. They didn't get any of our people's information, they just harass you and post junk. It cost us $5000 to get this removed and blocked (we don't have $5000 sitting around). It's a bigger deal than most people realize. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

Leafy, I just put comments on two quilts featured on the Daily Blog with no verifications necessary. I will pass your post on, perhaps it is a Settings issue that I cannot replicate.

When a quilt is featured on your daily blog, I'd often like to post a comment. However, the "verification" photo panels are *unusually* annoying and time-consuming...one set of photos after another appears before I'm verified, to the point where I usually just give up and don't bother posting.

Hey, this isn't a high-security bank account we're talking about...why so convoluted a verification process? It seems that being signed in to the website would be enough! I hope you will change this....

Thanks!
