One of the benefits of being a paying (Star) member is the ability to search for other members. However there is a category which is skewing the results: Charter members. All Charter members appear in the search results, which would not be a problem, except that current paying members (Star) who are also Charter members ONLY appear in the All member or Charter member results. I have tried to contact the Quilt Show about this, but I never received a reply.
Here is a search that I did to illustrate this problem. When I entered "Diane" in the first name search field and selected "All" for members, I saw that there are 422 members, named Diane. I repeated this search for Basic and then for Star members. There were 323 Basic members and 68 Star members for a total of 391 members. What? Where are the missing 31 members? When I looked through the 68 Star members, I did not appear in the list. Finally, I checked the Charter members named Diane: 109 members. Huh? I looked through the list of Charter members and there I am. There are 31 Charter members who are also current Star members; the remaining 78 Charter members have not renewed.
So, why do we continue to have the Charter member search category?
