I used Soft Fuse on my 2012 BOM and have cut it in layers, both with the Cutwork tool on my Bernina and with scissors, and have done 4 layers at a time. I remove the paper backing from the Soft Fuse, except on the bottom layer. You could stitch around the edge of the pieces when it's layered then cut with scissors. Most of mine I did in a hoop, but did try it the other ways also. If you remove the backing, you just have to be careful when separating the layers, but it does work. I've also pinned the layers together when I had only one or two I had to cut out. Fi

Still have the problem of keeping those small pieces intact. But thanks for the idea

Instead of cutting with scissors, could you use the smallest size rotary cutter available (I think that's an 18 mm) preferably on a rotating mat?

I tried that last night. What happens when you are only using the softfuse around the edges is that it is not as easy to keep all the shapes together. I think it would require too many stables and defeat the point. I don't know, I am sure that there is something I am missing.

Maybe I am misunderstanding the question but couldn't you just staple 4 layers together with the traced one on top and cut them that way?

Too bad. I looked at their shows on TQS but nothing about multiples. Oh well, I think I can manage 4 images just curious. Thanks Margo.

I will. I wonder if Sue or Holly might tell us since they include that in the BOM directions?

Please ask the ladies in your quilt shop how to make multiples and let us know the secret!!

I don't think it's possible. Last night I made a sample and can't imagine how it would be done. The only reason I asked was that in the instructions it say you can make multiples.

I have never used the product either but the ladies at the quilt shop where I bought it just raved about it. Looking forward to getting caught up, I didn't get started until May!

Sorry Gayle, but I've never used the product, and have no idea.

I'll also be interested to know of any suggestions.

OK, I think I know the answer but...I am using softfuse for the applique and wondered if there is any way to cut multiples when using this? Don't think so but maybe there is something I am missing.
