Thanks for the info!
I had a class with her sister Sue at the Vermont Quilt Festival in June, and she gave so many tips! Her class was wonderful. I might consider a trip to Michigan too! :)

Thanks for the review, Rosamond! I had two days of class with her sister, Sue Nickels, this May, and they were also wonderful. They really are a dynamic duo, aren't they?! Pat and Sue are inheriting the Beaver Island quilt retreats from Gwen Marston in 2014, and I can only imagine the wealth of information they'll share. Might have to make a trip to northern Michigan in 2014!

Pat has been a friend of mine for a long time and actually we were in a bee together. We all learned so much from Pat. Since she moved to Ann Arbor from our town of Muskegon, we don't get much time together but cherish every minute we do get together. She is an amazing quilter and artist. I agree, totally, about her miniatures. They are amazing.

This really has nothing to do with the BOM but I just wanted to share! I spent 3 days with Pat Holly at a workshop this past weekend. She is an AWESOME teacher. Oh my word, her miniature quilts are to die for! And she shared the quilt she is working on right now. It's a winner for sure!

She passed on lots of tips and tricks for stitching raw edge appliqué that will make stitching the borders of the BOM much faster! So glad I waited until after the workshop to do my stitching for this month. She also went over the couching technique for tiny stems. I'm sure glad she did. I know now that I need to practice doing it before putting it on my border!

If you ever have the opportunity to take one of her classes, they are wonderful.
