I sewed one side onto the middle sashing first then I took a ruler and a disappearing marking pen and would mark where the second set of points should line up. The I would pin and sew the second set.

Do you mean getting the points lined up on opposite sides of the center gold strip?

If so, using the template on page 9, just mark the center strip exactly where each triangle point needs to be and pin them carefully! Easy peasy!

I am using freezer paper for paper piecing sashing. Is there a good way to mark the fabric in order to match the triangles?
