I really like the spiral eye needles, too. I do every once in a while have trouble with the little opening in the eye catching on the quilt as I pull it through, but that has happened less frequently as I've used the needles more. I like them a lot better than the Clover needles because I always seem to have trouble with breaking the thread when trying to get it into the Clover eye. But the spiral eye needles are a lot more expensive, so that's a consideration, too.

ccrdotter1 OFFLINE Posts: 17	Sue Nickels recommends pulling the threads to the back with self threading needles. Thought this was a good idea. I have purchased both Fons and Porter and also Clover self threading needles and have yet to thread one. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or if there was a big secret to using these things. Thanks Carol
