I'd look on the Bernina Website under Support for suggestions, and join the Yahoo group BerninaV6Software. On the Yahoo group, search for Windows 8 for discussions about this problem. If you don't find your answer, post on the Yahoo group. Kari, the group owner, is very knowledgeable and will make suggestions.
