TOPIC: Sew EZI vs. Gidget2 sewing table

Re: Sew EZI vs. Gidget2 sewing table 12 Jan 2014 16:17 #114419

I'm thinking I will have to get a clear insert to use as a light table. I love my table!

I have sew-ezi table, with inserts for several of my machinesand the clear one to use as a light table too. Very sturdy and easy to transport.

I love my Sew Ezi table! I research and go thru a lot of angst before I make a purchase of any significance but there is no regret on this one. So sturdy yet easy to haul around on its wheels. It's obvious thought went into the design, including the cover. An added bonus is that the table top is so smooth I don't need my Sew Slip mat when I free-motion quilt anymore.

Thanks everyone for your input! I think I'm going to go with the SewEZI based on your comments. I have a large quilt to quilt and am looking forward to a little more ease!

I compared both tables when I was looking and ended up with the SEW EZI ... I thought it was easier to move / portable. And I thought it was sturdier when sewing on it full speed. I use it every time I go to retreat. I do think it is more expensive then the Genie so that might be a factor.

Just my opinion

Gidget 2 table weighs 37 pounds.
SewEzi weighs 23 pounds.

I had the original Gidget and for a stationary setup, it is fine.
When my mother's machine died, that table and a sewing machine went to her house where it sat stationary.
I could not wait to get the SewEzi. It works either stationary or portable for class and retreat.

My vote is SewEzi and you will not be disappointed

I have the sew ezi table and love it. I have a very large heavy machine on it and it works great. Looked at the Gidget but decided on the Sew Ezi.

I love my Sew Ezi table - it travels everywhere with me. My small Horne cabinet on wheels goes around the house - wherever I want to sew, but I leave the house a lot and my Sew Ezi is wonderful for travel. I don't know anything about the Gidget table.

I have a SEW EZI and I really do like it! Very sturdy, easy to move or take to classes, and I also ordered the clear insert so I can use it as a lightbox!

Money well spent!

I'm looking for input on either of these two portable sewing tables. I'm ready to purchase one but don't know anyone who has used either.
