Thanks for the graph info. That's my kind of tool. The price is right.

You can also google up polar grid graph and get .pdf files of printable circle graphs (free!) and use them to do the same thing. Also great for designing mariner's compass quilts and other circle based pictures.

I love cool tools, but I also love cheap fixes. I hope my post desn't offend anyone.

Shirmoor,

The Sewing Revolution is a round template, that is marked in either 5/7 or 6/8 divisions that helps you mark out stars, triangle, pentagons, hexagon etc., quickly. Or find the EXACT center of a circle or arc.
They have two different templates, the 5/7 which would make 5 or 7 pointed stars or sided blocks, or 6/8 for 6 or 8 pointed stars or sided blocks, so there aren't too many marking to confuse you. Then they have extenstions so you can make larger blocks or stars.

It looks like it would be a great tool to have, for embroidery placement or for designing blocks for quilting, but for the price they are asking, I'm not sure I would get that much use out of it, which is why I was wondering if any one has one, and how useful it is.

Diane, maybe I'm missing something here, but what is it you're referring to?

Has any one bought one of these, either the 5/7 or 6/8?? I have heard mention of them, and have seen them on websties, but don't know if they are worth the cost. Especially if you add in the extension wedges and the book.
