Did you see on her web site that if you and 4 friends ordered 5 hoops, it was somewhat cheaper/hoop? My problem is that most people in this area don't use a sit-down hoop. Her hoop right now on the web site is $71.39 (w/o s&h or tax) and 5 of them is $335.96. That's $67.19 each (again w/o s&h, tax). Still pricey, but I still want one. Oh, well, goes on the "wish list" for BD's, Christmas, etc., I guess. Do any of you have one of her thimbles? I'd like to try one before spending that much $$'s and then be disappointed. :)

I also love her needles!

Have her hoop but never did 'get' her quilting style down.

Now I'm learning free motion quilting on my sit-down HQ16 and usually when I hand quilt I use those crazy little white PVC things designed for embroidery or such.

I have her thimble and her hoop. I love the hoop and took a two-day class from her when she was in Oregon. I was able to try a knock-off hoop from another company that the quilt store had and her hoop. Her hoop won out even though it was more money.

You might want to try some local quilt stores to see if they carry her hoop. I purchased mine from Greenbaum's in Salem, OR. I will say that her needles are awesome.

Do any of you have the Thimblelady hoop that Liuxin Newman designed and sells? If so, do you love it?

I'm tempted but the price and shipping will be a good bit just to "try" this product. I'm about to start hand quilting a special quilt and think this hoop may really help.

Thanks,

Barbara
