The reason for putting something on the shiny side when using a laser printer is because this type of printer uses heat to print. That will make the shiny side sticky and mess up the insides of your printer.

I print one piece of frezzer paper at a time, nothing added. Do be sure to iron it flat first so it doesn't curl. Also be sure that you send it thru the printer so it prints on the paper side. Otherwise, you will have a messy smear of ink all over everything. Don't ask how I know about the latter. Betty Ann

Don't send them through a laser printer  ...just ask me how I know!!! LOL

If you iron the freezer paper to another piece of paper...you need to remove it while it is still warm. I usually send mine through on fabric...which is easier to pull off...however, depending on your printer...you may have to change the setting to accept the thicker 'paper'.

I'm not sure if it is necessary but I just quickly iron mine to a sheet of regular paper to put it through the printer. Karen

Sorry I wasn't sure where to post this question.

If I want to print on freezer paper using my printer, how do I do that? I was thinking I need to back it with normal paper. Would you suggest tape?

Thanks.
