If your batting is not too thick, it will work. The Magna Hoop will not hold through terrycloth or thick fleece. I was disappointed in trying to use mine to embroider on some hand towels (from Wal-Mart) and the magnets would not hold. I was lead to believe when I purchased it, it would hoop most anything, but that simply is not true. Back to the old adage "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!"

I've seen Magna Hoop advertised and am intrigued. I just finished embroiderying the quilt designs on a quilt and the hooping was a challenge. This product looks like it would make it a lot easier. I'm a little concerned about whether the magnets are strong enough to work through all the layers. Has anyone tried it? Any comments or suggestions?
