This quilt has taken over my life so I need take a break. I think the color placement is a little funky. But I am going to leave it for now. I will do a border eventually as I want to make it bigger but for now it is done. I am blown away by all the work shown here. Bit is very inspiring!
I finally finished my quilt. It was a wonderful adventure and really helped passed the time during this pandemic!!! Thank you Alex.
I was delayed a week because I was teaching my granddaughter to quilt. She had a lot of fun, hopefully she will be a future quilter!!!
Sundancesassy, I love how your border blocks match the sashings around each block. It draws my eye from the centre of the quilt to the outer edge and unifies everything together.

Border.... reminds me of the braid construction. Was it done something like that? I must study this some more. It intrigues me as Alex said too. Let me guess. You cut 2" strips (or there about) in all your colors, prints. Then cut the same width squares. On one end of the strips you do the 'flying geese' technique. Then sew all the pieces together in the manner of creating a strip of braid. Then cut it down to the length of your sides and tops. The cornerstones are a square with one snowball corner. How did I do? Thanks for providing my brain stimulation for today!! Lovely top!

So lovely! Bravo to you for seeing it through while enduring all that uncertainty and scary 'newness'! Your result is stunning and you will have so much more confidence going forward. If I were there I would give you a big pat on the back!! You will have to be a pretzel and do it yourself!!

Thank you Alex for filling these past 4 months with such a fun and constructive distraction. It was wonderful having something to look forward to during this time. I had such fun even when I was swearing at a block. There were several that were $#&@@! Thank you John for all your hard work behind the scenes. And thank you Barbara you little saint you. You've been so patient and you've made navigating the Forum less stressful for many of us. I love my quilt. It will hang in my sewing room for years to come and will always remind me of this time. Just plain Thanks guys! My Covid quilt became "MY Happy Quilt." And that is it's name.
