I saw a photo of this quilt on Pinterest. It's an Irish Chain patter with Sun Bonnet Sue appliqued in the plain block between the chains. If you get an Irish Chain pattern and then size a Sue to fit, seems like it would be easy to duplicate.

I would love to find the pattern for "My Irish Grandma Sue". I understand it appeared in the Quiltmaker magazine issue March/April 2005. Their website does not offer magazines that old.
