Gosh, it is hard to believe June is about over. I too have been busy. I finished the top of a quilt we started at our guild. It is a big block quilt and went very fast. I ran out of the pinecone fabric I was using so inserted a piece of the contrast fabric in the center. I am going to monogram an initial in the contrast fabric to make it look like that is the way it should be. I will post pictures later. I am almost finished with a top I started last October. It is a Donna Lynn Thomas pattern, Delectable Mountains. A variation of her Mountain Home design. I am still working on the border. I need to make two more quilt tops and get all of them quilted before Christmas.
That is enough, but we put out a large garden and I am expected to do most of the picking, canning and freezing of the produce. Then there are the family reunions (3 this summer), babysitting, and a vacation trip to Ohio and northern Michigan in July.
Today we took our SIL and his two little ones to the zoo in St. Louis. Wonderful day, but I am really tired.
Forgot about a baby quilt I quilted for a friend's daughter's benefit. There are just not enough hours in the day to do it all. I am so happy I have things to do that I enjoy. I feel for the people who have no hobbies or responsibilities to keep them busy. I don't think I will ever not have something that I need, or want, to do. Energy now, is another matter.

Marilyn, I ordered several of their hangers over a year ago. I'm just now starting to get quilts put on them. They are very well made and they have such pretty designs!

I've already made several house quilts. This is one of them with 3" blocks. If I were to make another one it would be for a friend who recently made a comment about the first house quilt I made about 35 years ago, and the blocks would be much larger to make it at least lap size. I really need to do that but not sure when I will fit it into my schedule.

Laundry Basket ones are a bit big...4 in. or 6in. would be nice....house blocks have several pieces
in most cases....and paper-pieced is the easiest,IMHO.....

Carol Doak has a 3 inch block in the e-book that comes with her Craftsy class. She has a 4 inch house in the book 300 Paper-Pieced Quilt Blocks. Neither one looks particularly fiddly. We may just have to decide on a finished size.

Where is Edyta's house block to be found? I think that sounds like fun.

Annis your quilts are so pretty. I am looking forward to seeing the photos of your newly restored retreat studio. As for the Kaffe Fassett house block I just did a test one. OMG they finish at 2 1/8th inches. Way too small for me and far too fiddly. Edyta's house block is actually relatively easy to do once you have got the knack of sewing 1" strips together. But equally they could be done with one piece of fabric for the body of the house rather than strips.

Robin, the economy block is a free pattern on Craftsy - 5 1/2 inch block. There's also a paper-pieced download for the same block.
Thank you, NanaPie!
