I like that, but I'm not so keen on miniatures, like some quilters here. I'd certainly think seriously about this as a swap.

I think TQS needs another exchange to create a bit of excitement. Does anybody have any suggestions or would anybody be interested in volunteering to organize it? I live too far away and the postage from the USA to Ireland has doubled at least in the past year so that's not practical. However, I was thinking about what I would personally enjoy doing as an exchange and while trawling the net today I came across a free pattern from McCalls called 'The House That Kaffe Built'. It is a quilt of miniature paper-pieced houses. I think the pattern calls for 30 houses but it is a mini quilt so one could increase the number easily. Wouldn't it be fun to have a quilt full of all our TQS friends houses? It's just a suggestion :D

Here's a link to the pattern

It would be fun to exchange house blocks!
Another suggestion, what about "wonky" houses? Here is a sample I found on the internet. Any bright or Kaffe fabrics would be great in this:

Congratulations to both Robin and Robin! I wish I could go to the Houston show too!

Amazingly, it's already Tuesday again and House 5 has been posted ready for download at http://www.quiltersnewsletter.com/issues/First_Snow_Christmas_Series_Quilt.

Congratulations to Robin Gausebeck! She's won Best First Time Entry - Appliqué in this year's Hoffman Challenge!! Even better, her quilt will be in the trunk that travels to Houston! And I'm feeling pretty good myself — my quilt was also chosen to travel and will be in the same trunk as Robin's. I've told my husband that now I have to go to Houston this year! :D :D :D Here's my quilt, called Circus Daze:

Sounds like it could be interesting--who wants to come and keep Loren from doing what he wants to do for the next four weeks?
