I wrote a bumper crop of blog post this weekend .... I played with EQ7 and drafted a pattern for a quilt I saw on the MODERN QUILT FACEBOOK page. I wanted the pattern but no one responded to the request ... so I drafted it myself. Anyways I published the directions on my blog. It is not a pattern but just basic directions to making the blocks.
THE BLOCKS take less than 20 to 30 minutes to assemble.... 5 minutes sewing for each round.
I spent most of my time on cutting because I was being fussy about the fabrics I was picking to use and I was trying to avoid repeats. Whenever you cut scrappy and controlled it takes longer to get things cut because you are over thinking the process.

Nonnie, I saw this demonstrated at one of the shows a couple of years ago. It looked so easy. I haven't tried it yet, but it is on my list. Thanks for the reminder.

Karen Hallaby's technique for EXPLODING PINEAPPLE BLOCKS

I first saw Karen technique here on The Quilt Show. I found other links to her demonstrations on YOU tube. I also bought her books. I taught her technique at FOUR CORNERS at our guild meeting. I am currently making a quilt using the technique. I posted my experience on my blog ( links provided.)
I think you might enjoy this technique ... I am finding it very useful for baby quilts and gifts.
