Or fashion up a new top for your Roxanne glue if that is the only part you don't like.

Thanks Rosemary.....love your new avatar.......I will try Hobbycraft which is near me, I'm not desperate for the glue but I have heard so much about it I thought it would be good to try it.
I hope you are warm, and safe from any flooding in your area, I feel so sorry for all those that are flooded. The bad weather isn't finished yet.

Anne, do you have a 'Wilkinson's' near you? or perhaps a 'The Works'? I think they have a school glue, failing that how about WHSmiths?

As Margo says, make sure that it says washable on the bottle and then it will have to be a case of try it & see. Personally I am chary about using glue in embroideries, since I was warned off it at the RSN, and the warning hasn't completely worn off yet  , but that is not to say that it is not a useful idea, provided you have tested it prior to using it on the 'good piece'.

:? Hi Zarah/Norma
I have looked on Amazon and their postage is even more expensive.
I will go to Hobbycraft and see what they have.
Thanks

Do they have some other brand of washable school glue there? What do the little ones use? I would try that. Maybe it would be less expensive and easier to purchase. I would try a sample first.

Do you have Staples? I like their Staples brand Liquid Glue Stick and it is inexpensive.

Thanks Margo, I can get it on Amazon at £2.00 a 118ml bottle....I wanted 2 bottles = £4.00 the postage would be £3.95 which of course makes it nearly £4.00 a bottle which is ridiculous and I refuse to pay it.
We can't buy it in any shops here. I have some Roxanne's glue but the nozzle drives me crazy.
Thanks again

Anne, in the US, Elmer's Washable School Glue is easily available. If you have access to a quilt shop, Roxanne's Glue Baste-It works the same way, but is much more expensive than the Elmer's.

Here is a UK source for the Roxanne's: http://www.cottonpatch.co.uk/acatalog/Roxanne-s-Glue-Baste-It-7066.html

Hi,
Can anyone suggest an alternative to Elmers School Glue that can be bought in the UK.
I have found a place that I can buy Elmers but would be nice to just go to a store and buy some.
Thanks
Anne
