Betty Jo,
keep us posted with your experiments - I have a few bags of angelina to finish using up!

Jeanine, Good thought. I have some...will try a test. In fact, I guess I should set up a few tests to try different solutions now that you mention it.

You experiments look great. How about trying some holographic thread to give the aura around horse's head? Try to thread paint a little at edge of angelina to see the effect? Good luck.

Wendy, It is fun. There are all kinds of applications I can think of. :)

I am making a large Angelina Fiber applique for my second deep space quilt inspired by NASA photos of the Horsehead Nebula. I made one batch and then decided it wasn't right, and am now making another set. I am blogging the whole process this time. It really helps me to do that, because I can see problems along the way better. If you have any suggestions for how I can improve the process, let me know. Here's my first blog on this process. http://blog.bjfabricartist.com/2014/01/29/horsehead-nebula-1--working-with-angelina-fibers.aspx
I decided this is touch and go as to whether I will accomplish this one...   :) :)
