I tried that Pellon fusible and thought it gummed up my machine needle. It would probably be good if you didn't want to sew over your applique.

They are Anne but I've lost 2 this year. One was my precious Pigeon who I'd had for over 5 years, I miss her loads :(

By accident I found this on http://www.pellonprojects.com Is this a replacement for steam-a-seam2 ? They seem do a lite product as well it's called EZ-steam.
I don't know if we can get it in the UK
