Thank you ladies. I have used the larger hexies and done two quilts with those but I wanted to play with something smaller.

Hmmm. Might be a good suggestion for an AccuQuilt die. They could honeycomb them together for the die because you would never mis-cut.

There are Go and Studio hexagon dies. The Studio has one that cuts Ritzy sized hexagons...finishes at 1/2 inch, and cuts many many cuts at one time. There are other sizes, too.

In the stores I had only seen the one that has 3 sizes, one hexagon each on the die. But I looked on the site and I see that they do have exactly what I was saying. Thanks! I'll have to think about that...

Thanks Rita--I am trying to get the pages to print out--have I said lately that I hate Windows 8? If I can get them to print I will try to figure out how to make them smaller. Again--thank you.

Ritzy I don't know if this would be any use to you but I thought it was interesting.

Rita, I tried gluing the hexie that I printed on Stable Stuff. I didn't like having the edges folded and glued so I undid that. I am not happy with how the Stable Stuff is sticking but it does give me a guide for piecing. I think with the next hexies I print out, I will put it on Decor Bond--then I can just iron it on the fabric. The biggest trial I have is that I am not being very successful in my cutting the hexies out. The only thing I could find online was 1/2 hexies that were lined up like a honey comb. So, if I mess up with cutting one--it affects the one next to it. I would be happier if they were separated with a little space between them so I only mess up one at a time. Is it fiddly? Not really--I'm just a little inept. If they made 1/2 hexies that were die cut and had iron on adhesive on them--they would be too expensive to afford but they sure would be nice. No picture yet, but soon.

Thanks Becky I haven't tried a glue stick but I think I will now.

Ritzy are you ready to show us anything yet? 1/2" eh? That's very small. Is it very fiddly?
