I've dealt with the after effects of a linen embroidered bedspread that had been stored for a very long time folded in half & quarters etc on the grain - it was very, very boring darning that went on for weeks & weeks..... :roll: Nice to see an alternative solution :)

I heard about this folding technique a few years ago and it really works. All the folds are on the bias so no permanent creases in the quilt. Works on any size.
