Why not, if the fabric is right, use it. Make sure you check the fabric content to be sure it isn't a mix you don't want in your quilt, and remove any linings, edgings... Then it's just a piece of fabric! I would also wash it before using, but then I wash all fabrics before I cut them to get all the chemicals out - keeps me from sneezing & itching

Having trouble finding flannel I like for a rag quilt. Wondering if I could use flannel sheets for the fabric instead of yardage? Appreciate your thoughts!
