If you reduce the stitch length at the beginning and the end of the seam, you may not have to have it fixed. The shorter stitch length keeps the stitches from coming out.

My reverse button stopped working, I need to get it repaired but I was wondering if anyone would know what it might cost? Thought I could just get a cheaper machine if the cost was too much. I really only use it for quilting and embroidery so have not used the reverse button very much at all.
