Thanks for the info. I try to make a QOV every month, but do participate with our local QOV lady who goes to Ft. Carson monthly. I was just asked on Sunday to make a quilt for a Gold Star mom for September. My own son received his QOV in October. A lot of love goes into these quilts.

I just looked up on Iowa Public Television (http://www.iptv.org) and there are a couple of air times listed for Iowa. I will be recording the show.

I was born and raised in Iowa City, home of the University of Iowa, so I knew of Dan Gable growing up. When I was in junior high, Iowa's wrestling team won nationals and the men's basketball team made it to the Final 4 in the NCAA tournament. There was a homecoming celebration that combined both teams at the old Field House on a school night and I got to go. That was an exciting night!

***There is a short video with Dan Gable presenting the quilt to a special military young man.***

I just watched Alex's video where she mentions a show to be aired on pbs where she and others took new quilters and made quilts for quilts of valor. I tried to look up when it will be on at pbs.org and couldn't find it. I live in VA I don't know if that matters...does anyone know when it will be on or how to find it. I think Alex says it is called under our wings...and one of the Fons & Porter ladies organized it in Iowa
