I have been making the units that go into the quilt..... I plan to get all the strips lined up in the same directions. I did not realize the fabric was so directional till I took the picture. I like the diagonal of the two colorways marching along the quilt. I have decided the yellow blocks will be framed in a lighter color probably shades of pink. I am working strictly from my stash and I am not sure how many more pinks I have. I DO HAVE FRIENDS THAT WILL TRADE / GIVE ME SOME PINKS.

This project is fun because the whole room will be done in yards of the border fabric. I am making the quilt, my sister the curtains and mom is making some art pieces for the wall.

Went to an all day quilt retreat and this is what I worked on. My quilt THE FABRIC TALKS TO ME, I got the figured out and cut..... THEN my mystery class blocks.... I feel I made some real progress.....
