My mobile phone is over 10 years old. I don't think I need to say more...... :)

Being married to a techy, I have more techy toys than I know what to do with, lol! I have a laptop, IBook G4, I am using right now, love it, & the portability of it, so nice! I have Quilt Pro, since the EQs don't work on Macs, but haven't mastered it yet, or even used it much. I have an iPhone, but no phone in it, still use it alot though & love it. I have a Nano & a Shuffle, then I have this little PDA too, that I did use alot, till the iPhone took it's place... I too, get up in the morning, grab some coffee & turn on my laptop, this is my world I share with my online quilting friends & community, & I love it! We live out in the wooded countryside, so nowhere close to go & chitchat, so this is my morning routine... love it!

I have a Wacom tablet, never thought to use it for sketching out quilting designs, what a brilliant idea Margo! I would definitely call myself a geeky quilter, though not all my gadgets are used in quilting. I'm sorely tempted by the iPad, but I can't quite justify it at the moment. I couldn't live without EQ6, it's so brilliant. I use Photoshop for picture editing, but haven't printed anything on fabric for a while as my inkjet has given up the ghost and I can't justify buying a new one (I have a colour laserjet for work). I have an iPod for music when quilting, a gorgeous Bernina 630 which is the best machine ever as well as a small Brother embroidery machine. I've just decided that I need the PE Design Lite software for my birthday this year so that I can make quilt labels more easily.

If money was no object I would add an iPad, an iMac, a Sony ebook reader, the Bernina embroidery module and software, a new inkjet printer, an Accuquilt Go Cutter (with dies) and maybe even a Bernina 830 to my already large collection of gadgets :D :D  . Oh, and an extension to the house so I can have a huge sewing studio LOL! What does anyone else dream of owning ???

Does anyone use Google Reader to keep their blog posts updated? I love that program. I even have my pod cast loaded there so I know when they have new podcasts. I do not have an iPod ... just something more to loose.

I must admit to being quite geeky...computer (complete with EQ7, Bernina design software, photoshop elements, and a bunch of other programs), three printers, 2 digital cameras, scanner, 2 computerized sewing machines, one with embroidery module, electric scissors, and my gps, which has an audible program that I use for audible books while I'm quilting and take with me wherever I go. Oh, and my cell phone that i keep by my side. What a fun question.   I'm getting a whole-house surge protector installed next week. Cheers, BJ

I must admit to not being far from my iPad now. Just always having that little bit of contact with any info I need. Love it.

Im a Mac geek and have a new Ipad. First thing I do in the morning is get my coffee and sit and check the quilting forums and blogs. Best way to start the day and can be so inspiring to listen and see what everyone is doing.

I USE PAINT SHOP PRO or Picture it to edit the pictures I post from my camera to post on the web... it resizes the picture.. I can adjust the brigtness and contrast so I do not have dark pictures.... I use it for a lot of editing ... Cost about $100 but I thought it was worth it.

Beyond that I do not do much on the computer or internet cause I found the more I doodled or surf the less actual sewing I did... but quilting is my passion / hobby ... I still work outside the home over 40 hours a week the rest of my free time I spend with my 2 year old grandson... sew for now quilting is done on the rare occassion he is out of the house.

Maggie, the Wacom Bamboo Tablet comes with PhotoShop Elements which is the software that Jeanie used for the photos in quilts tutes! I need to learn more about that program, but absolutely love using the tablet for sketching quilting designs! I didn't do this design, but Carla Barrett "whispered" this for me to quilt on my Neutral BOM:

Margo, I am going laptop shopping today. I am wondering if this is something I should put on my shopping list! I have seen it advertised, but didn't know what a use could be!

There are several "apps" that you can download: QuiltFab, QuiltRef, Bias Binding calculator.
