First of all, hello to my old friends and sorry I've been away for so long! Seems there's just no way to do everything I want to do plus everything I need to do! Anyway, I've spent most of the last year on this one project, so I wanted to share with you now that it's done. see-quilts/quilt-gallery/ I've just posted it to my profile, second row, second quilt.

I started the center just to have something in my hands, it was among the various things I "inherited" from a quilter I never knew (her son was clearing out the house some 10 years after her death) and I just grabbed it in a hurry before a trip. Finished some months later, didn't know WHAT I'd do with it. So it stayed on the design wall, and then WHAM it hits me after my nephew proposed to his college sweetheart! So I just kept adding borders to make it big enough! Note the small blocks in the corners of the red border, the block is called "Crazy Anne", so that's a small nod to Anne, the bride

Now that I've only got one more HS graduation quilt to go (few more years yet) I've set myself up to make wedding quilts for all the nieces & nephews...

Since I haven't yet quilted my 2008 BOM  this is kind of my first hand-appliqued quilt, plus the outer red/white border has my first attempt at feathers (which my LQS ladies gave me great compliments on!) Now the kids are saying the quilts keep getting better & more involved, so they might vie for who gets married LAST instead of next! Oops, wrong incentive!
I miss you all & will vow to not be a stranger.
Piece,
Florence
