I have a t-shirt quilt and a memory quilt to make for clients; have to trim and bind another client quilt; quilt a QOV by Tuesday; get my "homework" done for my art quilt mentor get-together; etc. etc. etc!!!!!

So far, I've trimmed the one quilt and cut the binding for it and finished the QOV. I'm still behind on everything else.

The deadline is looming for me to finish a landscape quilt for a show & a must do challenge quilt; gardening keeps stealing hours out of my day.

Thanks for the good wishes everybody! I'll make sure I share pictures somehow, somewhere.

I think the blog section is fantastic, but I just haven't got the time to go there. I work fulltime and I'm pretty tired when I get home, so there is little time for anything.

But the baby quilts are important right now. Chris and Kerri don't want to know if they are having a boy or a girl, so I'm waiting a little. And this is going to be a summer baby, so it won't need a quilt right away. I have made one really soft blanket (pieced top, plain backing) from flannels without wadding. I gave it to Kerri a few weeks ago, and she loves it.

Let's see if I can manage to get a picture in here:

I also hope that I'll manage to make a placemat (using only my stash) for the TQS challenge.

Lorchen, How exciting !! If he or she comes on the 19th, your GB will be just 9 months younger than mine----who we finally saw yesterday after months----he's a real person now.

Any baby quilts in the making ?

All 'to do' list will be suspended for a while soon. Only one priority right now: My first grandchild is due around the 19th. :)

Sewing the binding on a baby quilt.... MY FIRST EVER TWO SIDEDED BINDING.... It came out pretty good if I do say so my self...

The secreat was a technique stolen from SHARON SCHAMBERS..... Elmer WASHABLE SCHOOL Glue ... I ironed it flat before sewing it on and I glued the insides of the two sided binding so it would not shift out of place before I sewed it together.

Right now I am sewing it on and it seems to be working out pretty good.

Check list revisited. 10 May 2010 08:13 #45620

This weekend dgd and I had the "jewelry factory" going on Saturday and I now have 51 pairs of earrings, five bracelets and six necklaces ready for the winter craft shows at the senior's park where I live in the winter. Would have finished more but I ran out of accent beads - you know the ones that makes the necklace or bracelet stand out from the crowd. Bead shopping is almost as addictive as fabric shopping and I need to watch my budget.

I have the green, blue and purple stitching done on nine block of the month squares (five Hugs and Kisses and four of the Florabunda that has been in the member blogs.) I have some orange and gold in most of the blocks so that is the last stitching to be done.

I cannot wait to get that done so I can move on to my quilt using Vikki Pignatelli's curved piecing techniques. Have been wanting to do this for quite a while and it finally rose to the top of the list.

Hugs to all and keep on "checking things" off the list. Ann

Saturday I spray basted my class quilt so that is all ready to quilt and, ta da, drum roll please, I put the final border on the 2009 BOM. It is ready to go to the longarm quilter. Then I need to finish a table topper I started with a pack of charm squares. Today I ran around with a dust rag. Makes me feel like I've earned my keep.

I need to finish my son's quilt "The Rose" by Thursday night. He graduates on Friday at 10 am. I may be sewing the label on as we drive to the college. Hopefully not!

Need to find two large cones of Masterpiece Thread---one for DD's Christmas quilt. I'm doing a wholecloth quilting design on a sky/cloud background.

How can you lose not one but 2 3,000 yard cones in a box ? I think I must have a gift !
