I enjoyed reading all the quotes posted. My head is full of quotes and my friends love me for that, Thought you all might like this one -
"Never trouble trouble till trouble troubles you
for you only double trouble and trouble others too,"

When we first bought our house a couple of years ago, the first thing I did was a wall decor that said "Live well. Laugh Often. Love much." It's the center piece of my livingroom.

Steal it, I did... I took some time to look for the original person, but couldn't find it quickly. I think it's fairly recent, and many slightly different versions are out there that say the same almost perfect thing...

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming “WOO-HOO what a ride!”"

This is a minute late and a dollar short but here's a couple that have recently become very important to me...

"It is not a slight thing when they, who are so fresh from God, love us." -Charles Dickens

And my favorite:

"Cleaning and scrubbing can wait 'til tomorrow. For babies grow up, we've learned to our sorrow. So quiet down cobwebs, dust go to sleep. I'm rocking my baby, and babies don't keep."

I have the second one on a sticker pinned in my sewing room to remind me of how special this time is. My three kids are 9, 6, and 10 months. I used to be picky about keeping the house clean and trying to do everything when my older two were little. With baby Matthew, I just don't care anymore. I am okay with my house being dusty and dishes being in the sink because I used that time to sit in the rocking chair cuddling with my baby. I now know that my sweet little baby is going to turn into a young man before I know it and I want to hold him in my arms as much as possible while I can!

This is a statement I made up ten years ago when I turned 50. And It still hold true now at 60.
"I am not what I once was, nor am I yet what I will be."
I have heard that there is an Indian proverb that says "You can never step into the same river twice. The river has changed and so have you." Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends here at TQS
