I love Nancy's too! It is my second favorite place, mainly because it is clear on the other side of town. No, I have not joined Desert Quilters. In fact I do not belong to any quild at this point but have started thinking about joining one. I'll check them out. Thanks for the info.

Have you joined Desert Quilters of Nevada? I was a charter member back in the 1980's. I now live in Torrance, CA, but I'll never forget the wonderful friends I had in Las Vegas. Desert Quilters used to have (and probably still do) several quilting groups that met all over the city. I think that would be a great place to start finding people near you, too. I also enjoy Quiltique when I'm in Vegas visiting family. Nancy's Quilt Shop on the other side of town (Las Vegas) is great, too. Judy in Torrance

Nancy in STL - your idea was great! Not only did the search tell me there are well over 100 TQS members in Las Vegas but then another search showed members in Henderson and 2 others in Boulder City where I live. Thank you again for the suggestion.

Never thought of that feature for this option. Thanks, I'll give it a try.

Why not use the TQS search feature for members in Nevada?

Oh how wonderful to hear from you. I have not been up to that area yet but someday will get to see that part of NV.
Most of the time I leave a hefty donation at Quiltique. There are several other stores I like but just don't get to them but once or twice a year, normally during the "Hop Shop".

Another Nevada Quilter here! I live in Gardnerville which is in Northern Nev. near Lake Tahoe. I have a fabulous LQS called "The Quilt House" in my town and there are several in the area (within an hours drive) that I frequent very often when on the hunt for that certain fabric! I go to Henderson several times a year and always stop in at Quiltique (I was there just last week in fact). I left the usual hefty "donation" to the business...got some wonderful fabric. :D :D

Nevada Quilters 14 Jun 2009 09:09 #35982

Hello fellow NV Quilters. How many of us are here in NV? I'm new to posting and really just getting in to this website more. For awhile I was just watching the shows. Now I'm branching out and seeing all the other goodies that are here. Boy, am I having fun and soaking in so much information.
Anyway I'm in Boulder City NV and my favorite quilt store is "Quiltique" located in Henderson. So far I just buy quilt kits but am ready to try my hand at designing my own quilt, now that I have the basics.
Everyone out there have a great day.
