TOPIC: Running Eighths (8ths)

I think it's made by Springs Creative. It's available at Jo-Ann's. It doesn't look like much but when it's made into a quilt like Lyn Brown's, it's gorgeous!

Take a look on Jo-Ann's website: http://www.joann.com

I have not been impressed with any of the fat eight fabrics I have seen... the prints are kind of blurry and simplistic compared to the other gorgeous fabric that is available. It could be just me and where I shop but I have not seen any of the fabrics that look good.

I like the idea of that type of fabric FAT EIGHTHS but I think the implementation of the concept has been poorly executed. You may be seeing nicer fabrics then what I have seen. I did buy one yard cuts of FAT EIGHTS fabric as a blender fabric.. they had 4 different mono chromatic colors on the same yardage... but any time I have seen a print in the differnt colorways the prints look bad, blurry, poorly done/ drawn.

What manufacture makes the fabric you were talking about??

Have you seen the Running 8ths fabric? Our local teacher had made a beautiful quilt with that fabric. She has all the instructions and many more patterns, etc. on her site: http://lynbrown.com/

I just bought some at Jo-Ann's. It was only $3 a yard.

Besides all that, she's a great teacher!
