Harriet & Margarita

Ouchy on the darn shots, I hope the shots help your elbow/shoulder feel much better. Remember to alternate the ice packs/heat when needed. Its tough I know this pain at times/my darn hips, its really bad when your last result is getting a shot to help ease the pains,I really feel for you. Hope those pains ease up and goes away soon.

Sandi
Sorry to hear about your Mom,I hope Dr. figure out a diagnoses soon and gets her treated so she will feel better soon. Could she maybe low on calcium,I've heard this causing symptoms such as your Mom. I pray there is nothing serious wrong.

My thoughts and Prayers go out to each and everyone.
God Bless,Love & Hugzzz,Kathy

Hello everyone, I have just read through January prayer requests to get caught up. I apologize for not appearing in this thread for some time, but I am thankful for the faithful prayer warriors here! And I will lift up my prayers on your behalf, as well, particularly all the health needs that are listed. I've been working sporadically as a substitute teacher in the local school district; DH completed one home repair job that will help see us through January. Yes Ann, God is Good, All the Time, God is Good. Some other interesting things have occurred during the last month, showing God supplies all our needs. (1) We received a large box of fresh fruit from Florida, which is the annual Christmas gift from a man for which my husband did a lot of carpentry work. (2) DH's brother came for a week's visit (he's also unemployed, looking for work and looking for a warmer climate than Wisconsin), and brought a large bag of frozen meat - he previously had a farm on which they produced organic foods; (3) We are unexpectedly paid a month in advance on our car loan; (4) We do not owe on our Wisconsin phone, for the same reason; (5) I paid in sufficiently for our Federal Quarterly Estimated Tax (you self-employed people know what I'm talking about), so I sent in a nominal amount yesterday, to close out 2008; we paid for our propane (our source of heat besides a wood stove) in advance. My whole point in sharing all this is that we know God will take care of us, and sometimes it's not as we expected! (like a 40-hr work week at a stable job!) I hope this encourages those of you who are presently unemployed or have family or friends in that situation.

Dad called last night, Mom is back in the hospital with same symptoms as before. Basically, blanking out. Lasts about 30 minutes or so. Luckily she has been sitting each time, so she hasn't fallen. She had 3 more episodes at home over the last week, and yesterday Dad decided enuff was enuff and insisted her MD put her back in hospital. GO Dad!! :) Now they are thinking some sort of seizure activity and are doing tests for that. Neurologist is apparently convinced that is what it is. Pray for Mom and Dad please and that the MD's will make the correct diagnosis.
Ann, glad to hear you are doing better! Don't push yourself to fast though.
Margarita and Happy, hope those arms and shoulders get better soon.
Thanks for all your prayers and I continue to pray for all here and your family and friends. Sandi in FL

It has been a while since I posted here, I went to the Dr on Tuesday about my shoulder, apparently I really injured the tendons on my right rotator cuff, and the exercises I have been doing have not been enough, She gave me a steroid shot, and it is feeling better today, still have to exercise it more times a day and put ice on it. Thanks for all the prayers.

Joan,

So glad to hear your son followed the Spirit's leading to cheer you up !

Ann,

Great news about eating and your blood work ! Have you considered Probiotics ? Lots better than yogurt. I have big time GI problems and they really do help. If you need any reliable sources, feel free to email me direct.

God is Good - All the Time 14 Jan 2009 14:24 #30984

Three prayer thank you's today. So good to be able to do that again.

1. My stomach bug has finally let up and I can eat again. I am still eating yoghurt every day and small meals but otherwise it is real food - not simply bread, potatoes and rice. And I am getting my strength back slowly. I still need to rest more than usual but otherwise feel like I am back among the living and have some energy.

2. Went to my hemotologist yesterday and my hemoglobin and residual iron counts are still normal. My iron concentration level in my blood has slipped to just above the low end of normal so have to be tested next month again instead of waiting until March. The hemotologist feels that the lowered iron concentration is due to the flu and stomach problems I had and thinks it will recover without treatment. But if not we have a treatment plan.

3. Dear friends of ours flew back to Minnesota because he was told here that stents in his heart were not possible and he would need open heart surgery. The cardiologist in Rochester. MN disagreed and they did the stent surgery yesterday and he should be able to return to Texas soon.

So praise and alleluia, God is Good, All the Time. All the Time God is Good. Hugs, Ann

The below is from my neice Rachel, I told her I would let you all know, you are the greatest group!

One of my friends from high school, a girl named Anne Marie just found out a few days ago that her dad—who was successfully treated for a past brain tumor but discovered that his cancer had recurred this winter—only has about four months to live. I'm hoping that you can pray for her, her mom and all her family in this impossible time.

I have been feeling a little punky today too, I did not sleep well last night, but I did not let the ol' devil win and I did get to mass! You are all in my prayers.
Think I'll take a nap now!
