Joan
Good news on not needing a sleep apnea machine, Dh got one afew years ago and didn't use it much at all it collects dust, the sound of the air in the tubes would keep you awake. plus it is irritating as can be. I hope the test goes well for your stomach and that you find good treatment to make you feel better. The heating pad was agreat friend of mine for many years. Heat sooths the aches. T.C.

My thoughts and Prayers go out to you everyone.

How is everybody? I hope you are all busy quilting or something else good for you and not all sick! Although I am sick of the rain! Whew! I never knew it could rain so much around here!
But I do have some good news: I do not need a sleep apnea machine! whew! The doctor said that I could be helped with an oral nighttime appliance and I see the TMJ dentist on Monday for that! So I am relieved!
Thanks for your prayers. I see the gut doctor on the 21st. The heating pad has been my best buddy this week, but ok otherwise.
You are all in my prayers.

Joan don't you just love those sleep studies they wire you up for sound then expect you to sleep but tell you not to move too much or the wires may need adjusting. Just sleep "NORMALLY" . Like it is normal to have more wires then your fuse box conected to you. They found that I pass meds and never stop walking even when laying down during mine. Feet always moving and my patient Irene does not like her meds.
Ritzy I wish I could say something to take your mind off your sons troubles but just know that I am thinking of you and I pray that all goes well with his treatment. Just remember even the great president FDR didn't know why he was struck with polio until he was faced with a Great War. Perhaps there is something down the road that your sons character and faith will be a testament to.
Happy E-mail me more about you surg. I am flabby too due to the other surg and we need to talk.
Good news by the way I talked my sister into the gastric bypass surg. She is very over weight and has several health issues because of it. We bury her husband on May 18. That is going to be a tough day.
I get my sewing machine back from the fix it shop next week. Appartently more was broke on it then origanally thought.

Hi Sue,
Well I survived both, but won't know results for awhile. The sleep test was very different! wires all over me and I think I slept fairly well, at least they didn't come in and put the CPAP machine on me then and there! So now to wait for dr appts to find out results. The gut is still swollen and I just work around it!! :)

Thank you all for your prayers for Josh. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten an update lately. The last I heard is that he is off the ventilator and breathing on his own, but still with a trach. They are still trying to get him to a hospital in Houston since the hospital in College Station isn't as equipped to deal with his injuries.
I am also asking for prayers for my SIL, Paula. She has several health issues, one which requires surgery. She is scheduled for surgery on Friday, the 8th. She has an appointment on the 6th with her cardiologist. If he says no surgery, then they won't do it. Also prayers for DH and myself. We are trying to decide if he should fly out there before surgery or not.

Praying for all of you. We were out this week visiting son #3 @ IU who was in a concert, and then in Ohio with son #2 in a play. so wonderful to see them, and son #1 was accepted into the SCALE program at Southwestern Law School in LA. I have no idea what the SCALE stands for! But it is a concentrated 2 year program. So prayers for the boys are being answered!
Tomorrow I go to have another test on my gut, a gastric emptying scan, eat toast and a nuked egg and they watch it go through for 2 hours! Maybe they will find something so I don't go around looking as if I'm still pregnant with this bloating gut!
Thank you all

Happy,

So glad to hear your surgery went well and you are recovering. I was thinking and praying for you since your surgery date. Please keep us updated on how you are doing.

Frances,

Praying for young Josh, too, that his spine will heal and he'll regain full use of his body----and give the praise to the Great Physician.
