did you make the 3-d flying geese that RT made the first season or did you make the conventional geese? I am dying to try R-T's method but have toooooo many projects going for me to start on another one. Just wondering.

Mary (and anyone else wondering about "crumb" blocks)
Here is the website for the "crumb" blocks: http://www.quiltville.com/crumbspf.html

She says she works on two at a time. Since my scrap container has some strips in it, I started 8-10 and piece different things together then sewed a bunch of them to a strip that I had. After the cable guy leaves, I might go upstairs and work on that or my DD and I may go shopping.

I'm putting the last border on my convergence, then I start fusing

Only if you put the can in the middle of the room. It has to be in an annoying spot. :D

Cheryl, did you go over to Port for the parade on Saturday? Our Boy Scout band was in it and DH was one of the committeemen marching with them. They play glocks and drums.

No, we didin't make it out of Milford.. It seems like every town around had something going on this past weekend. I made it a point to see where your exit is, and I have stopped at that McD's for a potty break a few times.

I hope to get some sewing done today after a trip to Home Depot to look at flooring for the family room. On my way home I stopped off at Ikea to purchase a sofa bed and need to get the floor done before putting the bed together. A little incentive seeing the boxes laying around. I usually need a little something to get me moving on projects like a visual reminder. Otherwise I get distracted in the sewing room. here is the link to the quilt show information.Cheryl

I'm putting the sleeve on my t-shirt quilt. I'm trying to have some of my own quilts in our show in September, not just customers' quilts.

Debbie - we like to hear when anyone had time to accomplish something. Your white whole cloth quilt is wonderful. I am back on my son's Mariner Compass. Due to a cloth shortage caused by me cutting wrong I am adding a row of flying geese around the center compass. I completed 34 units yesterday and have 55 more to go. And I did my first convergence project which still needs borders and quilting.

Good morning everyone 14 Jul 2008 04:40 #22034

Well, helped dh install new tv, ugh, he now has more channels to surf.  Have to return new bathroom spacesavers, they came in the wrong color   But today I have to put a small baseball quilt on the rack,(for customer), I will do a baseball pantograph on it tomorrow. Have to go BJ's for quilt show supplies, this is for the dinner for the crew who sets up the quilt show, the show is this weekend. But I hope to get the binding put together this afternoon so I can put that on tomorrow. I still have to put on the sleeves to hang the quilts, also. Hope you don't mind me chiming in. It makes you feel good to know your getting some things done. debbie

MIRACLE

I actually made sewed for 4 hours today... 2 hours this morning attaching my borders then another 2 hours pressing blocks from the quilt I had put away and is now wrinkled and then sewing on 30 blocks.

I also played on EQ6 to plot out the size of the quilt and playing with color. I started the blocks but I never colored the quilts with my colors on EQ6... This quilt will be a total surprise.

This is kind of a cross post as I posted the same message in the my BORDER THREAD..... I found by posting my progress in this TILDE THREAD you ladies have kept me on task... I have even started working on another stalled quilt... I have been so inspired by everyone..

Thank you all

I finished the quilt top... YEAH... I tried to get a good picture but the wind is blowing too hard... after the third time the quilt stand fell on my head I gave up. If it is pretty out tomorrow I will try again to get a picture otherwise it is off to the quilters as soon as I can get it there.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I end up using red corner stones because I once again was short of the black Kona fabric ( I had taken it from another project and I need to have enough to finish that project. ) I will hand applique the motifs when I come back from the quilters. I will also do some emboidery in gold metallic thread to give it a polished look.

It took 40 hours of real actual sewing and unsewing time to finish the quilt. I kept a log during the entire process.

Hopefully no one but me and the internet will know that I goofed.

Thanks for all the input

Yesterday I went shopping for a new sewing machine :) Didn't buy yet, I want to take my time and be really sure. This one will cost a bit more. I cannot afford top of the line, but want a few more bells and whistles to play with! Of course, I bought fabric so got that washed yesterday and have started cutting that this afternoon. Its going to be for quilts for valor and will be in the yellow brick road pattern. Sandi in FL
