I got the binding done today on another of the twin size charity quilts. I have 3 of them ready to hand over to Marsha soon, plus the baby size one. I'm going to get another back and top ironed tomorrow and ready to baste Monday.

I went to my mini group day yesterday, we spend to much time talking, but I did get 5 of my "Square in a square" blocks put together, now I only have 6 more to go. Then I have to see about a layout, with sashings, corner stones and borders. Which will be fun, since most of the fabrics used are almost gone :( :( , so I have to see what I can do. I have the layout that my friend did, so I can figure out what I can do. :?

Another great cause is thebreastcancersite.com You can click on every day and they give free mammograms to women who can't afford them. There are 5 other causes on that same site. My favorite is the animal rescue which gives free food to shelters. You can set it up that it comes on automatically. Wouldn't it be something if 30,000 clicks started coming in every day? So many good causes - I will check out those web sites! Thanks for the info, Judy! Mary Kay

Wow, Lynn! Your blocks are really beautiful!!!! My Grandmother fought ovarian cancer (and kicked it's butt!) for 7 years!!! The Ovarian Cancer Teal project is a great cause and seeing your blocks makes me realize that I need to move participation in the cause up toward the top of my Quilts To Do list! Thanks for the inspiration! Mary Kay

Well I spent the day working on the floor plan for the show again. We pretty much finished it today. Then I was home for 15 minutes before going out to usher for the movies. It was work on your foreign language night. The first was in French and the second was in Polish. Thank goodness for subtitles. I watched the first and worked on my quilt during the second one. Maybe tomorrow afternoon/evening or Sunday afternoon I'll actually get the borders on my quilt.

For those of you enjoying "How to Make an American Quilt" -the movie- did you know that there is a book about the quilt? Called "Pieces of An American Quilt" by Patty McCormick (the quilter who actually made the quilt) it tells about the making of the quilt for the movie, and it has patterns and directions for making your own copy! Check it out a Amazon!

Lynn - The teal blocks are beautiful. I love the colors. As for me, I haven't done any sewing this week. I have been looking at books trying to get an idea for a quilt to use as a bedspread on my bed. I also went to the quilt store and they had the fabric I needed to finish my son's quilt without having to creatively piece it.

Well I didn't get any sewing done today. Spent the day working on the floor plan for the quilt show. I met with two other women and we are about half done with laying out the show. And we worked from about 9:15 to 5 with a break for lunch. Hopefully we'll get it finished tomorrow. Over half the quilts have been assigned a number then we have to decided where on the floor they go. It will be a long day again tomorrow, then we've got movies to usher.

Sylvia, they come in spurts of feeling well :D , llike yesterday, I did not sew a thing, tooooo tired from day before  , did too much.
But today is the last day of my so called time off, so I will try to do some work on my son's art quilt and try to cut some more tops out so when I have time I can just sew, (that seems to work out the best for me) Tomorrow I will be taking the car in for repairs, so as a treat on my way home I visit the local quilt stores, there goes more money, sometimes the quilt visit is more than the car repair   !!!! I have purchased more patterns, need mmmmoooorrrre fabric!!!!!   Debbie
