Just to make it a little more confusing with the time difference, don't forget about day light savings. So for now it is 5 hours difference but it will change when we set the clocks back an hour in November. So then it will be a 6 hour difference.

There are planned chats with guests of the quilt shows. They will post who will be chatting and the time every once in a while.

Yes, that's a good idea - I'll stay in a chat area and hope someone arrives!

I, too, sometimes check the chat rooms and find no one there. If I'm going to be able to be on for a while, I'll enter a chat room and wait and see if anyone shows up. A lot of people will look, but if no one is there, they go off and do something else. So if you are going to be on line for a while, stop in and stay in a chat room while you are doing something else.

I check the chat room periodically, and have managed to find someone to chat with on a couple of occasions, but it is rare. The chat room is also used for scheduled chats, particularly with guest speakers that have been on TQS. If you miss a chat, they have transcripts archived. I've used that a couple times, as well.

Jacky,
Your post came through at 9:21am here in NY. There's 5 hours between you and me. As you go west in the US, subtract an hour each for Central, Mountain and Pacific times.
My problem is that I can't always remember where the lines are to divide the time zones. I went to Tennessee a few years ago and we drove from Eastern into Central without realizing it.

I was just wondering if many people on here use the chat rooms? I have never seen anyone in them - there is a time difference of course - (I am in the UK) - and have never been that good at working out time differences, which hardly helps! Presently it is 2.22 in the afternoon here - and raining!
