I did and you're right! That's why it doesn't make any sense. Although my married name is Grant! LOL There are no surnames from either side of the family with 'G' I guess it doesn't really matter because I'll pull out what I might want and the rest goes with estate liquidation. My parents have no grandchildren & my brother & I don't need fancy linens.
For those of you who have lost both parents and have had to sell the family home - I bow to you. It is soooo hard and it is a small house. Dad died in 1992, but I was planning my wedding then so I had something else to focus on. I give mom credit because she had gotten rid of a lot of stuff in the last few years, with help from her wonderful cleaning lady.
